Conditions for the services offered by SNOW & RIVER ADVENTURES OF LAPLAND
These conditions of travel are for the customer groups of Snow & River Adventures Oy and include accommodation, sauna, conference, training, transportation and program services. Activities, duration, additional services etc. related to the trip, will be negotiated with each customer group and agreed with a written confirmation.
1. Reservation conditions of the trip
Reservation conditions
Reservation of the trip can be made either orally or in writing. Reservation is valid for the informed number of people and conclusively once Snow & River Adventures Oy has confirmed it in writing (by letter, fax or email). The agreement becomes valid once customer has reserved the trip and confirmed the reservation in writing (letter, fax or email). The confirmation of the trip should ordinarily be done in 7 days after the offer has been sent. If the start date of the trip is later than 3 months from when the offer has been made, it is possible to confirm the trip after 7 days. In the sent offer, the customer will be informed when the confirmation is due.
2. Paying conditions
After the confirmation of the trip:
- 35 % of the full prize of the trip is paid 30 days before the start of the trip as a reservation payment
- The final payment is due before the start of the trip. If there is a billing agreement been made with the customer, the final payment can be invoiced after the trip.
If the payment is not paid until the due date, a yearly interest on arrears will be charged according to the interest law legislation 4. If the paying conditions are not followed, Snow & River Adventures Oy has the right to cancel the agreement.
3. Cancellation and changes
The cancellation date is when Snow & River Adventures Oy receives the information concerning the cancellation. The cancellation of the reservation is always to be done in writing (email, letter, fax, text message). When a confirmed reservation is cancelled, there is a 50€ charge for office expenses.
When cancelling a confirmed reservation the following conditions apply:
- for a cancellation received earlier than 28 days before the date of the trip, there is a 50€ charge for office expenses
- for a cancellation received 7 - 28 days before the date of the trip, Snow & River Adventures Oy will hold the 35 % reservation payment or if there was no reservation payment, the customer will have 35 % charged for the ordered services.
- for a cancellation received less than 7 days before the trip, the customer is charged 50 % of the ordered services, and failing to appear without cancellation the charge is 100% of the ordered services
4. Group size
The final confirmed group size is to be informed 7 days before the start of the trip at latest. The confirmed group size can still be changed by 10%, 4 days before the trip. The last information given considering the group size will be used as a ground for the final invoice. If the final group size decreased in number and is informed later than 4 days before the trip, or is not informed at all, Snow & River Adventures Oy has the right to charge the amount presented in the reservation confirmation.
5. Special arrangements
Everything that has been agreed considering any special arrangements when making the reservation and what has been written on the program will become valid conclusively when Snow & River Adventures Oy has confirmed with the written confirmation.
If Snow & River Adventures Oy organise any special licenses required by the customer, for example hunting or fishing licenses, or makes special arrangement, the customer is under obligation to pay the costs due to these arrangements.
6. Responsibilities of the customer
The customer is responsible for all the damages caused by their equipment, staff, performers or audience for Snow & River Adventures Oy or to any third party that in accordance with the agreement is providing services together with Snow & River Adventures Oy. The customer is under contract to follow the instructions given by the staff of Snow & River Adventures Oy considering the venues, gear and equipment.
The customer is responsible for following the timetable of the program in the agreement. If the customer neglects this duty, Snow & River Adventures Oy has the right to charge the expenses caused by the neglect.
7. The responsibilities of Snow & River Adventures Oy
The passenger has the right to compensation (from a damage to a person, item or property), which has been caused by an error in a performance of Snow & River Adventures Oy, if the mistake or accident is in consequence of negligence.
The customer is responsible for doing the best to avoid the amount of damage. Snow & River Adventures Oy is not responsible for an accident that has been caused by a slight negligence or customers own negligence.
Liability for damages considering transportation is limited by the legislation of transportation (agreements valid in Finland or internationally). If it is a question of business trip or other non-private purpose trip, Snow & River Adventures Oy limits the liability for damages or loss of item and property for up to 200€. Snow & River Adventures Oy is not responsible for indirect or unforeseen damages as losing profit or equivalent.
Snow & River Adventures Oy is not responsible for damages caused by insuperable or unforeseen reason that Snow & River Adventures Oy (or a trader used by Snow & River Adventures Oy) could not prevent. Motives like these are for example war operations, natural catastrophe, infectious disease, strike and equivalent events.
Snow & River Adventures Oy is responsible for informing the passengers immediately of this and aim to act in a way that the damages suffered by the passenger will stay as small as possible.
The claim for compensation has to be presented in writing for the tour operator, not later than two weeks after the trip has ended, if there is no special reason for extending the time.
The passenger is responsible for damages, that are been caused intentionally or irresponsibly for the tour operator or any third party by disobeying the rules above, among other things.
8. Using the services of the program
Customer who parts from the group and is not using the services or accommodation reserved by the group or is using these only partly, is under an obligation to inform about this for a present member of Snow & River Adventures Oy or representative of the provider of the service. If the customer does not follow this obligation or is late for the time of departure, the customers are responsible for their own return journey. The customer group is not entitled to a discount for unused services.
9. Prices and changes in pricing
The prices of the trip include the services agreed with the customer group. Snow & River Adventures Oy reserves the rights to changes in pricing and product information.
